Christian / Rock / Rap
The name LifeBlood has a double meaning for the members of the band. First off, lifeblood refers to ones passion, what drives that person to do what they do. As a band, and as individuals, each member gives 100% of their passion, 100% of their lifeblood to accomplish their goals. Which brings us to the second meaning of the name LifeBlood. it is the blood that makes atonement for ones life. (Leviticus 17:11) Christ gave his lifeblood so that through his blood we can have life. The mission of the band is to go out and bring people to realize this truth. Even though LifeBlood has faced many changes over the years the mission and passion has always been the same.
LifeBlood came into existence in August of 2001, in Laurel, MD. Most of LifeBlood met and came together at their church. Guitarist, Jeremy Ephraim is the only member that was a part of the original group. Jeremy had played in other bands previously, (Soul Fire, Until the End, Kai X) before forming LifeBlood. At that time Jeremy only played guitar and threw some background vocals into the mix from time to time. After winning a local Battle of the Bands in Laurel, MD in early 2003, Jeremy stepped up to the mic as the front man for LifeBloods independently produced 3-song demo. Since then LifeBlood has been rockin the local scene. The past year (2006) has been an eventful year for the band. Daniel Pearson, Jeff Grove, and Paul Grove have joined to complete the band make-up as it is today, and LifeBlood has completed production of their first independent full-length album, Can U Hear Me? which was released early May 2006.
The band as it is now is as tight, musically, as we have ever been. Misty Rankin The important thing is that the crowd likes us and listens to what were saying. Jeremy Ephraim All of LifeBloods songs are true to life, to both young and old, and challenge listeners to let God make a difference in their lives and the lives of those around them. LifeBlood feels called to join the already ongoing fight of the Music Industry to get the Truth out to the people that need to hear it, and to look for opportunities to expand the reach of their music and reach people beyond their immediate communities.
We hope youll listen to us on one of our CDs and even come and rock it with us at a show or two.
