Adult Island Guides are needed to come join the Vacation Bible School adventure this summer as kids learn to live God’s unshakeable truth. VBS runs June 23 through June 27 from 6:00-8:30 p.m. each night. If you are willing to help out, contact Kerrie Pariso through the Church Office.

Each year Maryland/Delaware Baptists provides health kits to be used in a variety of ministries including migrants, prison inmates, homeless and seamen. We welcome the following items for the health kits: toothbrush (adult), toothpaste (large), large comb (no rat tail combs), shampoo (full size), soap (full size bar), deodorant, wash cloth, large bath towel. There will be a collection box near the elevator until May 18. Thank you for helping.

All 11th and 12th graders and young singles are invited to attend the third First Baptist Church Prom on May 15 at Riderwood’s Performance Hall. This year’s theme is “ENCHANTED EVENING”. Come and hear what the scriptures have to say about the subject. The Biblical Meaning to Money course (taught by Gale and Joyce Wallace) will be holding a special 2-week session devoted to this topic on May 11 and 18 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in room B203A. All are welcome to attend.

Pastor Stan will be teaching our “Discovering Membership at FBCL” course today! This course is for anyone interested in what our church is about and what we believe. It is a required course for membership in our church. It features a course notebook, a PowerPoint presentation, and a free copy of the The Purpose Driven Life. The upcoming course will meet on Sunday, May 18 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Conference Room (light refreshments will be served).
